We would like to introduce you to our Administrative Intern Tamara Kumar. We are excited to have her join our Farmington team. We asked Mrs. Kumar to tell us a little bit about herself.

"I have been an elementary teacher for 18 years and love helping students grow and learn. I have always believed that if you set high expectations, believe they can achieve them, and love the students, then they will find joy and success in school and life. My favorite part of working with children is watching their eyes light up when they learn something new (whether it is academic or personal). The key to helping anyone learn new things is to first build relationships founded in love and trust, and I look forward to building such relationships with the people here at Farmington Elementary.

I have been married to my husband for 20 years this July. He is from Fiji, and we met while in school at BYU-Hawaii. We have three teenage boys who are all looking at college and the rest of their lives now (which is a lot to take in for both them and me). We love to travel, and my husband and I have been to 14 different countries so far. We also love watching rugby and making improvements on our house and yard. I have always been passionate about working hard, supporting others, and learning new things.

I have received degrees and certificates from BYU-Hawaii, Utah State University, and Weber State University, and I strive to approach everything in life as an opportunity to improve myself and learn something new. I am so excited for the opportunity to work at Farmington with all the amazing people in this community. It's going to be a fantastic year and I can't wait to meet everyone when school starts again in August!"
